TRACY EVERLY

Everly’s paintings, including Pennsylvania landscapes and the structures residing , as well as still lives of flowers and fruit, are born of deep observaton attraction to direct observation. . Like the New Hope Impressionists that inspired her, she says she looks for something—a moment, a place, or a time—that gives her a feeling of excitement and joy. Her expressive treatment, however, is one marked by deliberation. “Every mark is a decision,” she says. Her gestural paintings are the combination of beauty-driven impulse and process-driven structure.

Everly left her corporate job as an editor to focus on her art, and is largely self-taught. She has become a sought after instructor holding both virtual and in person workshops across the country. She has exhibited widely in the region, receiving an Award of Distinction from the American Impressionist Society in 2021, and twice has been the recipient of Bucks County Resident Artist Award..
